Basic Impulse Level measurements were done on our two instrument transformers with a help from a colleague Dr. Viktor Milardić from the Department of Energy and Power Systems. These tests will help us in verifying the mathematical models and understanding the high frequency response of the transformer coils.
Paper titled "Transformer Windings’ RLC Parameters Calculation and Lightning Impulse Voltage Distribution Simulation" was presented during the COMPUMAG 2015. With 424 accepted papers, this is one of the most important international conferences on computational electromagnetic fields. The conference was held in Montreal, Canada from June 28 till July 2.
First of the two HP ProLiant SL250s Gen8 Servers was acquired under the HRZZ project. The computing potential (both CPU and GPU) will be extensively used in the developement of fast and efficient numerical procedures for transformer modelling.
New N9913A FieldFox Handheld RF Combination Analyzer was acquired under the HRZZ project. Its key features are CAT, VNA, VVM and Spectrum Analyzer, all of which are a good and needed asset to the group. The details of the device can be found here.
The four-year project grant 921 267,43kn is is approved to prof.dr.sc. Željko Štih for the project "Numerical Modelling of Complex Electromagnetic Phenomena in Transformers" and is financed by Croatian Science Foundation.
